ABOUT Dreadnoise
Liam Booth
Sound Designer and Immersive Engineer
Audio
I first began my career in audio at Glasgow Caledonian University studying Audio Systems Engineering. Here I learned about many different sectors of the audio industry, and where I might want to specialise. After graduating, I decided to pursue a masters degree in Sound Design at the University of Edinburgh. This course solidified my passion for sound design, and introduced me to innovative ways that it can be developed and used.

Immersive Attractions
Ever since I can remember my family went on annual holidays to Alton Towers. This was and still is my favourite place on the planet. The hidden nature of the park created a perfect sense of escapism, and allowed you to get immersed in a completely different world very easily. This spawned a keen interest in theme parks through my teenage years, and after visiting Alton Towers Scarefest, turned into a huge interest in immersive attractions aswell. After finishing my undergraduate, I decided to take the opportunity to audition for Scarefest, and I was successful! 5 years later and I am still a part of this event, and have a huge amount of love for the industry.

Combine!
My passion for both sound design and immersive attractions lead me to see that more innovation is required for audio in this sector. Dreadnoise has the aim to create innovative tools that can improve the immersive quality of audio with ease.
